Synopsis
Tasha meanders through life using her inability to blink as a crutch. She finds her way into an old bookstore where she meets the shop’s owner Genevieve, a grizzled woman with advanced ALS. Seeing right through Tasha, Genevieve brushes her off. Their separation is temporary as Webster, Genevieve’s gay caretaker who suffers from heart disease, forces them to work towards the same goal: to commit assisted suicide. Their unlikely friendship grows after Tasha saves Genevieve's life, but it's short-lived as Genevieve begins a relationship with Harold, their grieving undertaker. A desperate Tasha forces herself in between them when she loses the attention of the only motherly figure she has ever known. Genevieve passes away and Tasha is filled with a secretive guilt that, once revealed, leaves Tasha where she first began, alone. At this moment, she has a blinding realization.
We are slated to begin filming in the fall, but we still need more funding before we can officially be green lit. If you are interested in becoming an investor in the project, please contact us through the form below.
